Twitch has banned Cheng Wing Yee, better known online as Kiaraakitty, a streamer who has previously been kicked off the platform six times. She has a reputation for causing uproar, especially after a leaked audio revealed her duping several men in 2021. The precise reason for her ban is unknown at this time, but it is believed to be a permanent ban.
KiaraaKitty has amassed quite a following on social media and on Twitch in her time as a content creator, with nearly 100,000 followers on Twitter alone. She is known for her IRL and hot tub streams, as well as the occasional stream of games such as Grand Theft Auto 5. However, given KiaraaKitty’s primary form of content and her ban history, it came as no surprise on social media when she received yet another ban for her behavior.
Some have speculated that inappropriate attire during Livestreams is to blame. According to her ban history, she is banned from Twitch once a month. She has been banned in January, February, and now April since the beginning of 2023.
Many people believe Kiaraakitty will switch to Kick (a Stake and Trainwreckstv-backed platform launched in December 2022), because the platform is perceived to be more lenient than Twitch, despite recent policy updates on nudity and suggestive content.
The reaction on social media to KiaraaKitty’s sixth ban was mixed. While fans of the hot tub streamer called for the ban to be lifted immediately, other users questioned why KiaraaKitty was still streaming on Twitch given that she had previously been banned for violating the service’s sexual content rules.
I have a feeling something bad is about to happen— Kiki (@kiaraakitty) April 25, 2023
KiaraaKitty issued a foreboding tweet prior to her latest ban, claiming that she had a bad feeling about what was to come. Only time will tell how long this ban will remain in effect. However, given that other top streamers, such as Forsen, have recently received temporary bans that will be lifted, it stands to reason that KiaraaKitty will return to streaming soon.
