Fortnite is one of the most well-known third-person shooters in video game history, but it appears to be open to exploring new genres.
Fortnite’s no build option, which removes the game’s trademark building and makes it more like a regular shooter, has been very successful. And what could be more conventional than evolving into a full-fledged first-person shooter? We don’t know for sure, but I’m looking forward whether there might be a new, standalone FPS mode with perhaps different regulations now with so many innovative creative modes.
New Leaks shows unique sound effects for first person and third person
After the v24.30 update, several unusual sound sounds began leaking out of Fortnite. Wensoing, the leaker/data miner, claims that despite the fact that this is not novel and has just a minor impact on the big picture, it does conceal some secrets. The fascinating part isn’t that the mud and player movement sound effects are being discussed, but rather that they exist.
In 24.30, new sound effects for being on Mud were added

These include sound effects for walking on mud in first person and third person.
We should see these sound effects be used in next season's jungle biome or in the "muddy" areas on the map

It’s amazing that both third-person and first-person views of a character moving through mud have their own unique sound effects. These sound clues suggest that Epic Games may finally activate the first-person option next season, after years of teasing.
This is not a bad thing, but thus far the only audio effects discovered by leakers/data miners are those for first- and third-person movement in muck. These sound files, if anything, lend credence to the rumored jungle/tropical biome that will be introduced to the world map in the upcoming season.
Epic is continuing work on First Person (as expected)

With 24.30, more files for the first person camera were added for various weapons including for some reason Guided Missiles
Sounds for walking on mud in first person were also added.

Not sure if the addition of a first-person shooter mode to Fortnite will entice me to return in the same way that the No Build mode did. It’s possible that it may have a comparable impact, and it makes me wonder whether Fortnite is trying to steal people from Warzone and Apex. It won’t be long until we find out how well it goes.
